APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised that
following the Company’s board meeting on 7 June 2021 and in accordance with the provisions of the
Company’s Memorandum of Incorporation, the board of directors of Sygnia has appointed
Ms Magda Wierzycka as the executive chairman of the Company with immediate effect. Ms Wierzycka will
focus on helping the board to shape the Company’s strategy, both domestically and internationally.

The former chairman, Professor Haroon Bhorat, will continue to serve on the board as a non-executive
director of the Company. The Sygnia board extends its sincere thanks to Prof. Bhorat for his years of wise
and dedicated leadership since listing in October 2015 and looks forward to his ongoing engagement.

Mr George Cavaleros remains the lead independent non-executive director of Sygnia, as required by
paragraph 3.84(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements.
