TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists
that the financial results for the period to be reported upon next, will differ by at least 20% from the
financial results for the previous corresponding period.

Metair is in the process of finalising its results for the year ended 31 December 2020 (“Results”) and
shareholders are accordingly advised that Metair expects to report:

-   headline earnings per share of between 145 cents and 151 cents per share compared to a headline
    earnings per share of 336 cents for the prior comparative period, which is a decrease of between
    55% and 57%; and
-   earnings per share of between 88 cents and 94 cents per share compared to an earnings per share
    of 325 cents for the prior comparative period, which is a decrease of between 71% and 73%.

The financial information, on which this trading statement is based, has not been reviewed or reported
on by Metair’s external auditors.

The Results are expected to be published on or about Thursday, 18 March 2021.
