APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY CHAIRMAN AND NEW APPOINTMENTS TO BOARD COMMITTEES

In accordance with paragraph 3.59(c) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board
of directors of the Company (“the Board”) wishes to advise shareholders of the following
changes to the Board and the Afrimat board committees, which changes have been approved
by the Board and are effective immediately:

Deputy chairman of the Board
The current lead independent director of the Company, Mr FM Louw, has been appointed as
the deputy chairman of the Board.

Audit and Risk Committee
Mr FM Louw has been appointed as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the
Company.

Investment Review Committee
Mr JF van der Merwe has been appointed as a member of the Investment Review Committee
of the Company.

The Board congratulates these directors on their appointments and looks forward to their
continued contribution to the Company.
