This decrease in shareholding is pursuant to the unbundling of FirstRand shares by RMH. Shareholders are further advised that FirstRand has also received formal notification that the Public Investment Corporation’s (PIC’s) shareholding in the group has increased to 14.076% of FirstRand’s issued ordinary shares, as a result of the FirstRand shares received from the unbundling by RMH. As required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Companies Act, FirstRand has filed the required notices with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
