In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, 71 of 2008 as amended (the Act) and paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised as follows: As part of the pre-unbundling steps of the ultimate unbundling of RMH’s entire shareholding in FirstRand on 29 June 2020; RMH Asset Holding Company Proprietary Limited (a wholly-owned subsidiary of RMH) has distributed its entire FirstRand shareholding, representing 33.02% of the issued share capital of FirstRand, in terms of section 46 of the Act to RMH. RMH now directly holds 33.02% of the issued share capital of the group. As required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Act, FirstRand has filed the required notice with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
