VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE CANCELLATION AND DELISTING OF 27 958 707 WESCOAL ORDINARY SHARES

Further to the announcement released on 6 September 2019 relating to a general repurchase of shares,
shareholders are advised that the Company has cancelled and delisted a total of 27 958 707 ordinary shares on
29 April 2020 (the “General Repurchase”).

The General Repurchase was undertaken in terms of the general authorities to repurchase shares approved by
shareholders at the annual general meetings of Wescoal held on 14 November 2017 and 23 January 2019
respectively. The shares were repurchased for a total value of R46 310 683.

Following the cancellation and delisting, the issued share capital of the Company will now comprise 419 916 854
ordinary shares of no par value.
