ANNOUNCEMENT IN TERMS OF SECTION 122 (1) and (3) of the COMPANIES ACT

In accordance with section 122(3) (b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008 (“the Act”) and section 3.83(b)
of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised that Alviva has received formal
notification in the prescribed form from Invesco Canada Limited (“Invesco”) that, the beneficial interest in
the securities of the Company held by one of Invesco’s funds, the Invesco Global Balanced Class EQ Fund,
has, as at 15 April 2020, increased from 4.97% to 5.04% of the total issued share capital of the Company.

As required in terms of section 122(3) (a) of the Act, the Company has filed the required notice with the
Takeover Regulation Panel.
