NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE OF EXTERNAL AUDITOR
In June 2017, the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors published a rule on mandatory audit firm
rotation for auditors of public interest entities, whereby audit firms shall not serve as the appointed
auditor of a public interest entity for more than 10 consecutive years.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised that the SA Corporate Board has resolved to early adopt
mandatory audit firm rotation and the external audit services provided by Deloitte & Touché will be
terminated once all audit related services in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2019
have been finalised. This is anticipated to be concluded on or about 26 May 2020.
SA Corporate will commence with a tender to appoint a firm of external auditors to replace Deloitte
& Touché and a further announcement will be published once the tender process is finalised.
The Board thanks Deloitte & Touché for their services rendered over the past 25 years.
