APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER TO THE BOARD

The board of directors of Ecsponent (the “Board”) is pleased to inform shareholders, in compliance
with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, that Mr Tertius Johannes de
Kock has been appointed as an executive director and chief financial officer to the Board with effect
from 31 March 2020.

Tertius is a qualified South African Chartered Accountant. He has extensive experience in financial
statement audits, risk management, assessment of control environments, financial reporting and
corporate finance disciplines across both the public and private sector, spread across a wide range
of industries, including financial services, technology, mining, retail and property.
Before joining Ecsponent, he served as an audit director for 9 years in one of the leading audit
firms. During his tenure, he served as the head of the audit division, head of the risk and technical
department and a member of the firm’s risk committee and operations committee.

The Board welcomes Tertius and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
