(“Nutritional Holdings” or “the Company”)

APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS AND COMPANY SECRETARY

In accordance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board
of directors of the Company (“the Board”) wishes to advise that the following people have
been appointed as directors of the Company with effect from 6 November 2019.

1. Sheikh Khalfan Humaid Nasser as an independent non-executive director. Sheikh Khalfan
Humaid Nasser holds the degrees BCom MBA from the Sheik Zayed University of the United
Arab Emirates (“UAE”). He was formerly employed as a member of the Ministry of the
Interior of the UAE and a senior member of the UAE Police Force. He is currently a real
estate developer in the Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. He has the largest cutting
and polishing works for rough diamonds in the Gulf.

2. Mr Mohamed Said Tina as an independent non-executive director. Mohamed Said Tinawi
is currently a Senior Commercial and Industrial Consultant at Lojain Trading and Contracting
Company, Saudi Arabia. He has in excess of 35 years’ experience in the fields of Crude Oil
and Petroleum products trading, base oil, and commodities.

3. Mr Mohammad Tariq Azum as Chief Executive Officer. Mr Tariq has the following
qualifications, Certification in Business Management, Business Accounting, Business Law,
Higher Certificate in Labour Relations and Labour Law, Certificate in Islamic Finance,
Diploma in Financial Management & Accounting and is the Head of Sha’ria Board.

Mr Tariq currently chairs the board of one of the largest Gulf Funds focusing on Sub-
Saharan Africa there he is responsible for food security for the Middle East North African
(MENA) Region.

Part of the organising committee of the food import/export food fair in the Gulf.

Seasoned Extensive Board Director with extensive experience running and advising
retail/consumer companies from FTSE 100s to start-up in scale. High Level Board
responsibility in the UAE, Europe and other regions for growth and turnaround, in both mass
market and luxury. Leadership and accountability for global strategy, product design and
ranging, marketing/PR, customer experience, trading and operations, digital/omnichannel,
store roll-out and retail operations, and logistics are but a few of Mr Tariqs’ key skills in his
vast set of expertise. Mr Tariq also serves as the head of finance of the Shua Investment
Fund llc, taking responsibility for their banking and insurance businesses. Prior to joining the
company, Mr Tariq was co-founded and is a director of a technology business as well as a
renewable energy business. He is a passionate entrepreneur and innovator. He is
increasingly recognized as one of the MENA pre-eminent business and thought leaders.
4. Rammalane Harry Monye as Financial Director. Mr Monye has a B.Comm and an
Certificate in Intermediate Accountancy (UKZN). Mr Monye is the chairman of the Dikuno tsa
Setshaba Community Trust and has worked in various financial positions at various
companies over the last 17 years.

APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY

Furthermore, the Company has appointed Eshcol Compliance (Pty) Ltd with effect from 6
November 2019 as the Company’s company secretary.

The Board welcomes the new directors and company secretary and looks forward to their
contribution to the Company.
