The demand required BCC Eiffel to repay the outstanding loan of £56.9 million by 13.00 (London Time) on 30 October 2019. Deutsche Pfannbriefbank were advised that BCC Eiffel was not able to settle the demand for repayment. BCC Eiffel has now been advised that Joint Law of Property Act Receivers Mathew Nagle and Kevin Mersh were appointed on 30 October 2019 and have exchanged contracts to dispose of the Houndshill Shopping Centre, Blackpool on behalf of the Deutsche Pfannbriefbank.
