RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR

In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised of
the following change to the Board of Directors of the Company (“Board”):

Dr Thabo Clifford Kogo has tendered his resignation as Interim CEO of the Company with effect from 30
October 2019 in order to pursue an alternative career opportunity.

The Board and the Business Rescue Practitioners (“BRPs”) wish to thank Thabo for his invaluable
contribution to the Group since his appointment in July 2017 as Non-Executive Director and for agreeing
to assist the Group in the capacity as Interim CEO with effect from 1 February 2019, shortly before the
Company was placed into Business Rescue.

In terms of Section 140 (1) (a) of the Companies Act, which covers the general powers and duties of the
BRPs, the BRPs have full management control of the Company in substitution for its Board and pre-
existing management. Subsequent to the approval of the business rescue plan for the Company on 11
September 2019, the BRPs are now implementing the approved plan. In the circumstances the BRP’s do
not at this time foresee the appointment of a replacement CEO.

The Board wishes Thabo well in his future career.
