FURTHER UPDATE ON BROAD-BASED BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT (“B-BBEE”) ANNUAL COMPLIANCE REPORT
Shareholders are referred to the announcement published on 6 September 2019 wherein the Company
advised that the submission of the B-BBEE annual compliance report to the B-BBEE Commission would
take place by the end of September 2019.
Shareholders are advised that the B-BBEE verification process has been completed, however the
Company has appealed the outcome of the verification results. Ellies is of the belief that some of the
B-BBEE elements has been incorrectly interpreted and Ellies is therefore not in a position to submit its
B-BBEE compliance report to the B-BBEE Commission at this stage.
The formal appeal process will be concluded within 21 days and it is expected that the Company will be
in a position to submit the B-BBEE compliance report to the B-BBEE Commission before the end of
October 2019 and a further announcement will be made in due course.
