Trading Statement for the year ended 30 June 2019 Unicorn Capital Partners Limited Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (Registration number 1992/001973/06) Share code: UCP ISIN: ZAE000244745 (“Unicorn” or “the Company”) TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2019 In terms of the JSE Limited (“JSE”) Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied, with a reasonable degree of certainty, that the financial results for the period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from those of the previous corresponding reporting period. Accordingly, shareholders are advised that, for the year ended 30 June 2019, earnings per share is expected to be between 13.74 cents and 14.03 cents (2018: 1.45 cents per share), being an improvement when compared to the earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2018. Shareholders are further advised that, for the year ended 30 June 2019, headline loss per share is expected to be between 3.28 cents and 3.33 cents (2018: 0.25 cents headline loss per share), being a decrease when compared to the headline loss per share for the year ended 30 June 2018. Restatement Certain group comparative figures have been re-presented as a result of N’komati Anthracite Proprietary Limited and Benicon Coal Proprietary Limited being classified as held-for-sale and identified as discontinued operations. These changes have not resulted in any restatements to the basic and diluted earnings per share, nor any changes in the headline loss per share between the 2018 originally reported figures and the restated ones. Unicorn Capital is in the process of finalising its results for year ended 30 June 2019, which will be released on SENS on or about 30 September 2019.
