ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND UPDATE ON BROAD-BASED BLACK ECONOMIC
EMPOWERMENT ANNUAL COMPLIANCE REPORT
Shareholders are advised that the Company's 2019 integrated annual report, containing the notice of
annual general meeting and the audited financial statements for the year ended 30 April 2019 (on which
the Company's auditors have expressed an unmodified opinion), was posted to shareholders and
published on the Company's website, https://elliesholdings.com/financial-reports/ on Friday, 30 August
2019 and contains no changes to the reviewed condensed consolidated financial results for the year ended
30 April 2019 which were published on SENS on 5 August 2019.
Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of the Company will be held on Thursday,
31 October 2019 at 10h00 at Computershare, 1st Floor, Rosebank Towers, 15 Biermann Avenue,
Rosebank, Johannesburg, 2196.
The last day to trade in order to be eligible to participate in and vote at the annual general meeting is
Tuesday, 22 October 2019 and the record date for voting purposes is Friday, 25 October 2019.
In accordance with paragraph 16.20(g) and Appendix 1 to Section 11 of the JSE Listings Requirements,
notice is hereby given that the Company's annual compliance report in terms of section 13G(2) of the
Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment ("B-BBEE") Act, 46 of 2013, has been delayed as the
verification process has not yet been finalised. A dispensation has been requested from the B-BBEE
Commission in this regard. The anticipated date of submission of the B-BBEE annual compliance report
is on or about 6 September 2019 and a further announcement in this respect will be made in due course.
