CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised
that Mr George Cavaleros CA(SA), CFA, CIA, ACIS, M.Com (Applied risk management) has been
appointed as the lead independent non-executive director of Sygnia, and chair of its Audit and Risk
committees, with immediate effect.

George retired from Deloitte effective 31 May 2015 after a 30-year career with the firm. As a financial
services industry (FSI) partner, George provided audit and a variety of other professional services to
clients including life insurance and re-insurance companies, retirement funds and administrators,
asset managers, collective investment schemes and their management companies, hedge funds and
other finance entities.

George currently serves as an independent non-executive director on the board of a listed real estate
investment trust (REIT) and held audit committee leadership positions at a medical scheme and a
leading South African university.
