MTN capital markets day presentations and progress on our asset
realisation programme

MTN capital markets days presentations

MTN will be hosting capital markets days in Johannesburg today, in London on
30 May 2019 and in New York on 3 June 2019, where the management team will
unpack and present MTN’s investment case and opportunities for growth. The
presentation materials are available on our website:

Progress on our asset realisation programme

MTN announced its asset realisation programme in March 2019. The programme
aims to simplify MTN’s portfolio, reduce risk, improve returns and realise
capital of R15 billion over 3 years. As part of this programme, MTN has agreed
to sell all of its interests in investment fund Amadeus and its associated
holding in Travelstart to HarbourVest, a global private equity firm, for net
proceeds of approximately R1,2 billion. The transaction is expected to close
within the next 3 months subject to customary closing conditions for a
transaction of this nature. MTN will maintain its commercial relationship with
Travelstart going forward.
