GEN - General – Gold Brands Investments Limited – termination of listing GEN – General – Gold Brands Investments Limited Gold Brands Investments Limited ISIN: ZAE000212791 Share Code: GBI (The “Issuer”) Termination of Listing Announcement The JSE wishes to inform the market that it has initiated proceedings to remove the Issuer’s securities from the JSE’s list in accordance with the provisions of the JSE Listings Requirements and the Financial Markets Act No. 19 of 2012 (“FMA”) due to non-compliance with several important provisions of the Listings Requirements and/or that such removal would be in the public interest and/or that the termination of the Issuer’s listing will further one, more or all of the objects of the FMA. The JSE has provided the Issuer with an opportunity to make written representations as to why the removal of its listing should not be effected. The Issuer did not dispute the intended termination of the listing of its securities by the JSE and it informed the JSE that it had no basis to support the continued listing of its securities on the JSE. In the circumstances, the JSE will commence with the removal of the Issuer’s securities from its list. Shareholders are advised that the Issuer’s listing will be terminated from the commencement of business on Monday, 29 April 2019. Pursuant to the termination of the listing of the Issuer’s securities, all shareholders will own shares in an unlisted company. Accordingly, the last day to trade (off-market) will be Tuesday, 23 April 2019 and the record date will be Friday, 26 April 2019.
