CHANGE OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In accordance with Section 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings requirements, HCI shareholders are
advised that the following change has been made to the composition of the HCI Board of
Directors:

Ms. Cornelia Carol September ("Connie") has been appointed as an independent non-executive
director of HCI as of the 25th March 2019.

Connie has been a Member of Parliament since 1999. She has served as a minister of Human
Settlements, chairperson on several national portfolio committees in Parliament committees
including Water Affairs and Forestry, Higher Education and Training, International Relations and
Public Enterprises. She has further served as a committee member of International Relations
and Public Enterprises and the Status of Women and as a convenor of social transformation.

Connie started her working career as a clerk at a clothing factory, rising through the ranks as a
shop steward, to National Treasurer of SACTWU, to reach the position of Deputy President at
COSATU.      Connie has a Master’s Degree in the Management of Technology, a post-graduate
diploma in Engineering Business Management and is presently studying towards a PhD.

Connie has garnered many skills in the disciplines of education, transformation, social
development, environmental, finance and labour. The Group welcomes Ms. September and
looks forward to her contribution to HCI.
