APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the Board of
Directors of NVest is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Lusanda Mangxamba (“Lusanda”)
as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 28 February 2019.

Lusanda obtained a BComm undergraduate degree in 1997, followed by a BComm Honours degree
in Economics at Rhodes University in 1998. She then completed an MBA at the University of Cape
Town in 2007 and a Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford University in 2015. She is currently
studying towards obtaining a Doctorate.

Lusanda has a wealth of business experience having worked in South Africa and London and in
various industries during her 21-year working career to date. Over the past approximately 12 years,
she worked as an internal consultant at Investec Bank, dealing with very high net worth individuals
(R100m+), after which she decided to leave the corporate world in favour of working as a
management consultant. As a management consultant, Lusanda obtained specialist skills relating
to the development of SME’s and enterprise and supplier development programmes of large
corporates. She also spent three years consulting to the mining industry, having a key focus on
strategy, stakeholder management and business analysis. Lusanda is the founder and director of a
Business Advisory Consultancy company specialising in SME’s and BEE and is currently contracted to
the Waste Bureau.

Lusanda will also serve as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and the Remuneration and
Nomination Committee.
