In terms of section 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the period to be reported on next will differ by at least 20% from those for the previous corresponding period. Accordingly, Indequity shareholders are advised that: - the Group's basic earnings per share (“EPS”) is expected to be between 70.00 and 72.50 cents per share, which is between 18.81% and 23.05% higher than the previous corresponding period’s EPS of 58.92 cents per share; and - the Group’s headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) is expected to be between 73.00 and 75.00 cents per share, which is between 22.28% and 25.63% higher than the previous corresponding period’s HEPS of 59.70 cents per share. - the increase in EPS and HEPS is largely due to an increase in premium income and an improved claims experience when compared to the previous year.
