APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (“CFO”)

York shareholders (“Shareholders”) are referred to the announcement published on SENS on
Wednesday, 8 November 2017, advising Shareholders of the appointment of Mr Gerald Stoltz as
acting CFO with effect from 1 December 2017.

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, the board of directors of York
wish to inform Shareholders of the appointment of Mr Gerald Stoltz as CFO with immediate effect.

Mr Stoltz is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He has the required knowledge and experience in the
Group and has 17 years of experience in the timber industry. He has demonstrated the financial
technical expertise required for the role. Additionally, Mr Stoltz’s strategic financial decision-making
skills, leadership experience in the listed environment as well as proficiency in solid wood processing
and forestry financial management are extremely valuable to York.
