APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the
JSE Limited, Famous Brands is pleased to advise shareholders
that Mr Deon Jeftha Fredericks has been appointed as an
independent non-executive director to the Board of Directors of
Famous Brands (“the Board”) as well as a member of the Audit &
Risk Committee. This appointment is effective from the 1st of
August 2018.


Deon is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce
and Business Management honours degrees. He is currently the
Group Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Telkom
SA SOC Ltd. He serves on various boards such as BCX Pty Ltd and
Gyro Pty Ltd and has previously held various other directorships
including Vodacom, Trudon and the Telkom Retirement Fund.

The Board welcomes Deon and looks forward to his contribution.
