APPOINTMENT OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR AND APPOINTMENT OF AUDIT AND
RISK COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN
In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) and 3.59 (c) of the Listings
Requirements of the JSE Limited, notification is hereby given of
the following changes to the board of GPI and various committees.
Mr. Colin Priem has been appointed as the new financial director
of GPI. Colin has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, with Honours
in Business Administration, and a Masters of Commerce degree in
Management. Colin currently serves as a non-executive director
on the board of GPI (“Board”), chairman of the Audit and Risk
Committee and as a member of the Remuneration and Nomination
Committee and the Investment Committee. Mr. Priem has
comprehensive experience in financial, investment and strategic
management gained as an academic and through active involvement
in business, with more than twenty years’ experience in the
landscape design, construction and services industries. With the
change from a non-executive director to executive financial
director, Colin will step down as the chairman and member of the
Audit and Risk Committee, as a member of the Remuneration and
Nomination Committee and as a member of the Investment Committee.
Professor Walter Geach who currently serves as a member on the
Audit and Risk Committee, will assume the role of chairman of
the Audit and Risk Committee.
Mr. Hargey, a current non-executive Director has been appointed
to the Audit and Risk Committee, Remuneration and Nomination
Committee and Investment Committee.
The Board of directors extends congratulations to Mr. Colin Priem
on his appointment and looks forward to his invaluable
contribution to GPI.
The above appointments and committee changes all take effect on
1 July 2018.
