(“Ellies” or the “company”)

TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of the JSE Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as
they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the period to be
reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from the previous corresponding period.

Accordingly, shareholders are advised that the company anticipates that the basic earnings per share for the
year ended 30 April 2018 will be between 5.00 cents per share and 7.00 cents per share, and headline
earnings will be between 5.5 cents per share and 7.5 cents per share, compared to the basic loss of 39.67
cents per share and the headline loss of 7.45 cents per share for the year ended 30 April 2017 respectively.

The company’s financial results for the year ended 30 April 2018 are expected to be released on SENS on or
about 30 July 2018.

The information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by Ellies’s
auditors.
