(“Platfields”, “the Group” or “the Company”)

RENEWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT

Shareholders are advised that the Company is now awaiting the final Court Order in
the matter of the opposed application to liquidate the Company.

With regard to the proposed reverse listing transaction, the offeror has indicated
continued interest to conclude a transaction with the Company. Shareholders are,
however, advised that the Company is in discussions with the JSE regarding the
potential termination of its listing. The Company has requested a deferment of the
JSE’s decision pending the finalisation of the matter relating to the provisional
liquidation order and the re-examination by the offeror of its offer to purchase shares
in the Company.

Notwithstanding the fact that the Company’s shares remain suspended on the JSE,
shareholders are accordingly advised to continue to exercise caution when dealing in
the Company’s securities until a further announcement is made.
