SECOND AND FINAL TRANCHE PAYMENT TO MASONITE SHAREHOLDERS AS A SPECIAL DIVIDEND


Masonite shareholders (“Shareholders”) are referred to the announcement confirming the finalisation of the Masonite transaction
and the first tranche payment to Shareholders as released on the Stock Exchange News Service on 10 August 2016.

Masonite is pleased to notify Shareholders of the second and final tranche payment of 864.60419 cents per share which will be
paid to Shareholders on Thursday, 22 September 2016 as follows:

1.   The entire payment will be made out of retained income;
2.   This payment will be subject to dividends tax of 15%;
3.   Shareholders that are not exempt from dividends tax will receive a net dividend of 734.91356 cents per share; and
4.   Shareholders that are exempt for dividends tax will receive a dividend of 864.60419 cents per share.

Masonite’s income tax reference number is 9575/016/71/3.

The second and final tranche payment will be made to Shareholders appearing on the share register on Friday, 26 August 2016
being the record date for the first tranche payment.

Masonite intends to engage with the JSE Limited regarding its intention to delist.
