TRADING STATEMENT

York is in the process of finalising its results for the
year ended 30 June 2012 for release prior to 30 September
2012.

In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings
Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading
statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that
the financial results for the period to be reported on next
will differ by at least 20% from those of the previous
corresponding period.

Operating profit for the year ended 30 June 2012 is
expected to be between 2% and 8% higher than that reported
in the comparative period.

The increase in biological asset value for the year ended
30 June 2012 is expected to be between 804% and 814% higher
than the increase recorded in the comparative period.

Accordingly, shareholders are advised that:

•   earnings per share (“EPS”) for the year ended 30 June
    2012 are expected to be between 41 and 43 cents when
    compared to 12 cents for the comparative period; and

•   headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) for the year ended
    30 June 2012 are expected to be between 41 and 43 cents
    when compared to 16 cents for the comparative period.

Shareholders are advised that the information included in
this announcement has not been reviewed or reported on by
the Company’s auditors.
