In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on next will differ by at least 20% from those of the previous corresponding period. Operating profit for the year ended 30 June 2012 is expected to be between 2% and 8% higher than that reported in the comparative period. The increase in biological asset value for the year ended 30 June 2012 is expected to be between 804% and 814% higher than the increase recorded in the comparative period. Accordingly, shareholders are advised that: • earnings per share (“EPS”) for the year ended 30 June 2012 are expected to be between 41 and 43 cents when compared to 12 cents for the comparative period; and • headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) for the year ended 30 June 2012 are expected to be between 41 and 43 cents when compared to 16 cents for the comparative period.
