YORKCOR LIMITED - MEDIA RELEASE                                                 
THE YORK TIMBER ORGANISATION LIMITED                                            
COURT APPLICATION POSTPONED                                                     
The High Court application by Yorkcor`s operating subsidiary, York Timbers Ltd, 
against the Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry and his Department`s Director
General that was to have been heard on Tuesday, 06 August 2002, was not heard   
due to the sudden indisposition of the judge.  Application is being made by York
Timbers to the Judge President for another date, which should be known soon.    
The proceedings concern, inter alia, the enforcement of Orders of Court in 1998,
upheld by the Supreme Court of Appeal in December 2001, which York Timbers      
maintains have not yet been implemented.
