HSBC Chairman Tucker takes on non-exec role at South Africa's Discovery

LONDON, Dec 6 (Reuters) - HSBC Chairman Mark Tucker will become non-executive chairman of South Africa-based Discovery Group in March 2019, the two companies said on Thursday.

Discovery operates a banking app that promises to reward customers financially for healthier behaviour, with better interest rates and discounts on gym memberships.

Tucker will perform his duties at Discovery in addition to his role as chairman of Europe's biggest bank.
