Adcock Ingram rises 2.2 percent on upbeat FY profit guidance
** Shares in South African drugmaker Adcock Ingram
surge more than 2 percent to 66.35 rand after it flagged a rise
of up to 24.8 percent in full-year earnings it reported on
** The drugmaker said it expects headline earnings per share
(EPS) to rise to between 380 and 390 cents in the year ended
June 30, 2018, from 312.6 cents a year earlier.
** Headline EPS is the main profit measure in South Africa
that strips out certain one-off items.
