PASSING OF LEAD INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

It is with deep sadness that the board of directors of Oceana (“Board”) informs shareholders of the passing of
Shams Pather on 5 July 2021.

Shams was appointed to the Board in November 1996. He served as Lead Independent Director, Chairman of
the Audit Committee and member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

The Board expresses its heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the Pather family in this time of sorrow.
Shams served the Board with diligence and integrity and left an indelible mark on all who interacted with him.
The Board pays tribute to a leader, a colleague and a friend. He will be sorely missed.

Shareholders will be advised of any consequential changes to the Board and its Committees in due course.
