CHANGE IN DIRECTORATE

In compliance with rule 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, Oceana is pleased to announce
that Thoko Mokgosi Mwantembe and Peter John Golesworthy have been appointed as an
independent non-executive Directors of the Company with immediate effect.

Thoko is an accomplished businesswoman with executive and non-executive director experience
on the boards of listed and unlisted entities. Thoko holds BSc and MSc degrees and has
completed executive leadership programmes at leading global institutions. Thoko is the Chief
Executive Officer at Kutana Investments Group Limited, a black-owned economic empowerment
investment group. She is also a director at Old Mutual Limited, Omnia Holdings Limited and Royal
Bafokeng Platinum Limited.Thoko will serve on the Oceana Board’s Remuneration and
Nomination, as well as the Social, Ethics and Transformation Committees.

Peter is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Peter is a commercially astute and experienced business leader who serves as a non-executive
director on the boards of listed and unlisted entities, including Life Healthcare Limited. He
previously held the position of finance executive at Old Mutual South Africa Limited, and Anglo
American Corporation of South Africa Limited. Peter will serve on the Board’s Risk Committee.

The Oceana Board welcomes Thoko and Peter and looks forward to their contributions to assist
the Company in achieving its strategic objectives.
