EXTENSION OF FINANCIAL REPORTING PERIOD

The Financial Services Conduct Authority issued a second market notice on 1 June 2020, advising
companies with year ends of 29 February 2020 to 30 April 2020 that such companies will receive
temporary relief of two months within which to complete their year-end financial reporting process
(the “Extension Period”) should this be required.

Due to the constraints placed on Denel as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic and resultant
nationwide lockdown, the pandemic has impacted the financial reporting and audit processes of the
Company.

Accordingly, shareholders are advised that the Company will be utilising the two month Extension
Period. Given that the Company’s financial year end is 31 March 2020 and ordinarily it has seven
months to make available its annual financial statements, Denel will now publish its annual financial
statements by no later than 31 December 2020.
