MEETING OF CREDITORS

UPDATE IN RELATION TO BUSINESS RESCUE PROCEEDINGS

Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on the Stock Exchange News Service on
5 October 2020 wherein the Company advised that Afrimat Limited (“Afrimat”) launched a High Court
application for an order, inter alia, placing Unicorn’s subsidiary, Nkomati Anthracite Proprietary Limited
(“Nkomati”), under supervision and commencing business rescue proceedings, in terms of section 131
of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008 (“Companies Act”). Shareholders are advised that the order, in
terms of section 131 of the Companies Act, was granted on 13 October 2020, thereby placing Nkomati
in business rescue and under supervision. Daniel Terblanche has been appointed as the business
rescue practitioner with effect from 13 October 2020.

NOTICE OF FIRST MEETING OF CREDITORS

In accordance with section 147 of the Companies Act, notice is hereby given that the first meeting of
the known creditors of Nkomati will be held as follows:
