Trading Statement MONTAUK HOLDINGS LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 2010/017811/06) (Share code: MNKI & ISIN: ZAE000197455) ("MNK" or "the company") TRADING STATEMENT In terms of section 3.4 (b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the financial results for the current reporting period will be more than 20% different to that of the previous corresponding period. Shareholders are referred to the announcement released by the Company on SENS on 4 December 2019 that it had changed its year end to 31 December, the first year end subject to the amended year end date therefore being 31 December 2019. The Company is reporting its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2020, with comparative results consisting of the six months ended 30 September 2019. Shareholders are therefore advised to take note of the disparity in reporting periods when considering the Company’s forthcoming results. Shareholders are hereby advised that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that for the six months ended 30 June 2020, the Company will report a basic loss per share of between 0.19 and 0.29 US cents, as compared to the prior comparative period basic earnings per share of 0.93 US cents. Headline loss per share is expected to be between 0.42 and 0.51 US cents, as compared to the prior comparative period headline earnings per share of 0.96 US cents.
