Feedback on engagement with shareholders on the company's remuneration policy and implementation report FORTRESS REIT LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 2009/016487/06) JSE share codes: FFA ISIN: ZAE000248498 FFB ISIN: ZAE000248506 Bond company code: FORI (Approved as a REIT by the JSE) ("Fortress" or "the Company") FEEDBACK ON ENGAGEMENT WITH SHAREHOLDERS ON THE COMPANY'S REMUNERATION POLICY AND IMPLEMENTATION REPORT Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement published on 30 November 2018 detailing the results of the annual general meeting, in which it was noted that the non-binding advisory votes on the approval of the remuneration policy and remuneration implementation report were at a level which required Fortress to pro-actively engage with shareholders about their concerns on the remuneration policy and/or remuneration implementation report. Shareholders were requested to provide feedback to the chairperson of the remuneration committee, Tshiamo Matlapeng-Vilakazi, or to Iraj Abedian, the chairman of the board of directors. Further to this, a teleconference was planned to be held in the first quarter of 2019. However, due to the limited feedback received and some shareholders indicating a preference to engage directly with the remuneration committee, the committee has decided to dispense with the teleconference and to allow shareholders a further opportunity to provide feedback in writing by 22 February 2019 by e-mailing the company secretary at tamlyn@fortressfund.co.za. Following this round of engagement, all feedback received from shareholders on the remuneration policy and/or remuneration implementation report will be consolidated and the remuneration committee responses thereto will be made available via the Company's website. In addition, should shareholders have any further concerns regarding the remuneration policy and/or the remuneration implementation report, they are welcome to engage with the Company at any time. 13 February 2019 Lead sponsor Java Capital Joint sponsor Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking Date: 13/02/2019 03:05:00 Produced by the JSE SENS Department.
