RETIREMENT OF CHAIRMAN AND APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHAIRMAN

Shareholders are advised that in accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings
Requirements, Mr Valli Moosa, the current Chairman of Sun International has decided to retire
from the Board at the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the Company, which will be taking place
on Tuesday, 14 May 2019 and will not be standing for re-election as a Director.

Valli was appointed as a Non-Executive Director to the Sun International Board on 30 November
2005 and as its Chairman on 1 July 2009. Prior to joining the Company’s Board, Valli served as
the Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism from 1999 – 2004. He was also previously the
Minister of Constitutional Development between 1996 – 1999.

The Board takes this opportunity of thanking Valli for his leadership and the significant contribution
which he has made to the Sun International group over the past 14 years.

Furthermore, the Board is pleased to announce that with effect from the end of the Annual General
Meeting to be held on Tuesday, 14 May 2019 and subject to him being elected by shareholders
as a Director of the Company, Mr Jabu Mabuza will be appointed as the new Non-Executive
Chairman of Sun International.

Jabu, who was previously the Group CEO of Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited until 2011, currently
serves as the Chairman of Telkom SA SOC, Eskom SOC and Anheuser – Busch InBev / SAB
Miller - Africa. He is also the Chairman of Business Leadership South Africa, as well as the
Chairman of the Casino Association of South Africa. Recently, Jabu was appointed by the
Presidency as a co-convenor together with the Minister of Finance to look into the state of the
South African economy. Jabu holds a Doctorate in Commerce (Honoris Causa) from the
University of the Witwatersrand and was also the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award –
Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Awards in 2016.
