APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Tongaat Hulett is pleased to announce the appointment of
Mr Louis von Zeuner as an independent non-executive
director to the Board, with effect from 10 December 2018.

Mr von Zeuner’s broad range of expertise include
strategy, governance, financial performance management,
risk management and compliance. He currently serves as a
non-executive director on the boards of Transnet SOC
Limited, Telkom SA SOC Limited, MMI Holdings Limited and
AFGRI Holdings Limited, amongst others, and will be
joining the board of FirstRand Limited in February 2019.
Mr von Zeuner is a member of Audit and Risk Committees on
all the boards on which he serves. Prior to this, he had
a long and industrious career at ABSA Group where he
ultimately served as Deputy Group Chief Executive from
2009 – 2012. He was also Chairman of African Bank (post
curatorship) until July 2018.
