UPDATED TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2018

Shareholders are referred to the initial trading statement published on the Stock Exchange
News Service (“SENS”) of the JSE Limited on 15 August 2018, wherein the Company stated
that earnings for the financial year ended 30 June 2018 were expected to show an
improvement of at least 20% in diluted and basic earnings per share (“EPS”) and headline
earnings per share (“HEPS”) respectively, when compared to the previous corresponding
period to 30 June 2017.

Shareholders are advised that, in accordance with Regulations 111 (9) and (10) of the
Companies Regulations, 2011, read with Section 3.4 (b) (viii) (1) of the JSE Listings
Requirements, the financial information in this trading statement has been reviewed and
reported on by Deloitte, the Group’s external auditors. Their review was performed in
accordance with ISRE 2410 – Review of Interim Financial Information Performed by the
Independent Auditor of the Entity. A copy of the unmodified report is available for inspection
by shareholders at the registered address of Murray & Roberts until the release of the
annual financial results.

DATE OF ANNUAL FINANCIAL RESULTS & PRESENTATIONS

Murray & Roberts intends to publish its annual financial results for the year ended 30 June
2018 on SENS on Wednesday, 29 August 2018 before 17:00 (CAT) and will be hosting an
investor presentation in Johannesburg on Thursday, 30 August 2018. In addition to the
physical presentation, the Company will provide the following stakeholder services on
Thursday, 30 August 2018 at 12:00 (CAT):
