POSTING OF CIRCULAR TO CIG SHAREHOLDERS
Unless otherwise defined, all capitalised terms have the same meaning as defined in the cautionary
announcement released by CIG on 18 May 2018.
1. POSTING AND AVAILABILITY OF CIRCULAR
CIG Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on SENS on 18 May 2018, CIG Shareholders
are advised that the EGM Circular to CIG Shareholders detailing the Proposed Transaction, incorporating
the notice of General Meeting and form of proxy has been posted today, 30 July 2018.
CIG Shareholders are further advised that the EGM Circular is immediately available on the Company’s
website: www.ciglimited.co.za/sens/
2. NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the EGM for CIG Shareholders will be held at First Floor, Melrose Boulevard,
Melrose Arch, 2196 at 10:00 on Wednesday, 29 August 2018, for the purposes of considering and, if
deemed fit, passing the resolutions necessary to give effect to the Proposed Transaction contained in the
notice of General Meeting which forms part of the EGM Circular.
3. SALIENT DATES
The salient dates pertaining to the Extraordinary General Meeting, also contained in the EGM Circular, are
set out below:
2018
Record date for CIG Shareholders to be registered as such in order to receive the EGM Circular Friday, 20 July 2018
EGM Circular posted to CIG Shareholders and announcement thereof released on SENS on Monday, 30 July
Last day to trade in CIG Shares in order to be eligible to attend, participate and vote at the EGM Tuesday, 14 August
Record date in order to determine which CIG Shareholders are eligible to attend, participate in and Friday, 17 August
vote at the EGM
Forms of proxy requested to be lodged for administrative purposes, by 10h00 on Monday, 27 August
EGM to be held at First Floor, 30 Melrose Boulevard, Melrose Arch, 2196 on Wednesday, 29 August
Results of the EGM released on SENS on Wednesday, 29 August
Results of the EGM published in the South African press on Thursday, 30 August
Exemption application to the TRP to obtain the TRP waiver exemptions on Thursday, 30 August
Last day to request the Takeover Special Committee to review the TRP waiver Thursday, 6 September

Notes:
1. CIG Shareholders will be notified of any material amendments to the important dates and times on SENS and in the South
African press.
2. All times indicated above are South African standard times.
3. A form of proxy not lodged with the transfer secretaries may be handed to the chairman of the EGM before commencement of
voting at the EGM or any adjourned or postponed EGM.
4. If the EGM is adjourned or postponed, forms of proxy submitted for the initial EGM will remain valid in respect of any
adjournment or postponement of the EGM, unless withdrawn by the CIG Shareholder on written notice to the transfer
secretaries.
5. If the EGM is adjourned or postponed, then the forms of proxy that have not yet been submitted should be lodged with the
transfer secretaries by no later than 48 hours before the adjourned or postponed EGM. Notwithstanding the aforegoing, they
may be handed to the chairman of the adjourned or postponed EGM at any time before the commencement of voting at the
adjourned or postponed EGM.
6. CIG will release a SENS announcement of the TRP waiver exemptions and inform CIG Shareholders that they may request the
Takeover Special Committee to review the TRP waiver exemptions within 5 business days of the date of the announcement.
