Grattan Kirk, Chief Growth Officer – Consumer Brands, has tendered his resignation to pursue an opportunity in the retail sector and will be leaving Tiger Brands on 22 June 2018. Grattan joined the company in July 2013 to head up the Consumer Brands portfolio. We wish Grattan well and thank him for his valuable contribution to Tiger Brands over the past five years. We are pleased to announce that Yokesh Maharaj will join Tiger Brands on 2 July 2018, as Chief Growth Officer responsible for Exports and International, as well as Snacks, Treats and Beverages. Our strategic review identified Africa as a key part of our growth strategy and Yokesh will lead the development and execution of this strategy. He joins Tiger Brands from Distell Limited, where he has held the position of Managing Director: Africa since 2017. Prior to joining Distell, he spent 17 years at South African Breweries (SAB). During his tenure at SAB, Yokesh held the positions of Executive Director: Sales and Distribution and Executive Director: Human Capital. Pending the appointment of Chief Growth Officer – Consumer Brands, the remainder of the Consumer Brands portfolio, with the exception of Value Added Meat Products (VAMP) will report to Pieter Spies, Chief Growth Officer – Grains.
