TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, a
listed company is required to publish a trading statement as
soon as it becomes aware that the financial results for the
financial period to be reported on next will vary by 20% or
more from those of the previous comparable period.

GPI hereby advises that a reasonable degree of certainty exists
that in respect of the six months ended 31 December 2017:

  •   basic earnings per share will be between 2.21 and 3.63
      cents per share, which equates to a decrease of between
      49% and 69% when compared to basic earnings of 7.07 cents
      per share for the previous period ended 31 December 2016;
      and
  •   headline earnings per share will be between 3.12 and 3.28
      cents per share, which equates to an increase of between
      271% and 291% when compared to headline earnings of 0.84
      cents per share for the previous period ended 31 December
      2016.

The financial information on which this trading statement is
based has not been reviewed and reported on by GPI’s external
auditors. The financial results for the period ended 31
December 2017 will be published on or about 15 March 2018.
