TRP121: NOTIFICATION OF ACQUISITION OF BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN SECURITIES

In compliance with section 122 of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 (“the Companies Act”) and
Regulation of the Companies Act Regulations 2011, shareholders are advised that the Company has
received notification from:


1.    Investec Asset Management Holdings (Proprietary) Limited on behalf of segregated clients
      (“Investec Asset Management”) of its acquisition of Master Drilling shares, such that Investec
      Asset Management now holds 5.0000% (previously 4.9705%) of the Company’s issued shares;
      and


2.    Investec Limited (“Investec”) of its acquisition of Master Drilling shares, such that Investec now
      holds 5.0063% (previously 4.9769%) of the Company’s issued shares.
