PrefTrax general update
PrefTrax, an index tracking fund, is mandated to passively track the FTSE/JSE Preference Share Index
(J251 Index) as closely as possible. Accordingly, PrefTrax takes guidance from the FTSE/JSE Africa Index
Series Ground Rules (v5.5) in all instances.
As of Wednesday 1 March 2018, PrefTrax holds Steinhoff Investment Holdings Limited - variable rate,
cumulative, non-redeemable, non-participating preference shares (“SHFF”), as required by the J251
Index in a weight of 2.9%.
As of Wednesday 1 March 2018, SHFF, a constituent share of PrefTrax, was suspended from trading.
Please refer to the general announcement released on SENS on Wednesday, 1 March 2018.
In line with section 6.5 (Suspension of Dealing) of the FTSE/JSE Africa Index Series Ground Rules (v5.5),
PrefTrax will continue to hold the SHFF at the value at which it was suspended of R44.01 per security,
until further notice.
