Update on suspension and cautionary announcement

MEDR’s shares were suspended from trading on the JSE on 6 December 2016. MEDR has
been investigating various options in the last year to recapitalise the company and to acquire
a cash generating asset.

Shareholders are advised that the company has entered into negotiations with a potential
investor regarding a potential recapitalisation of the company, which if successfully concluded
may have an effect on the price of the company’s securities. Accordingly, shareholders are
advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities until a full announcement
is made.
