AfroCentric Investment Corporation Limited
(Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa)
(Registration number: 1988/000570/06)
JSE Code: ACT
ISIN: ZAE000078416
(“AfroCentric” or “the Company”)

CHANGE IN DIRECTORSHIP OF A MAJOR SUBSIDIARY

The Board of Directors of AfroCentric (“the Board”) hereby notifies shareholders that Mr Kevin
Michael Aron has resigned as an Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of
Medscheme Holdings Proprietary Limited with immediate effect.

The Board would like to extend its sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr Aron for his valuable
contribution to the Company over the years and wishes him continued success in his future
corporate endeavours.

Mr Anthony Bruce Severin Pedersen, currently the Managing Director of Helios IT Solutions,
has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Medscheme Holdings (Pty) Ltd with
immediate effect. Mr Pederson is a Chartered Accountant and was previously General
Manager of Momentum Health in Mauritius, where he was responsible for establishing the
new insurance business.

He then joined Medscheme in 2007, where he was responsible for the international
operations. He was then promoted to serve as Chief Operations Officer of Medscheme and
then appointed as Managing Director of Helios IT Solutions in 2016. His mix of local and
international experience, as well as exposure to other subsidiaries makes him an obvious
choice for Medscheme’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr Pedersen will bring stability and
continuity to the business.

The Board welcomes Mr Pedersen and looks forward to his contribution as the new Chief
Executive Officer of Medscheme Holdings Proprietary Limited.
