APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


The Board of Labat is pleased to announce the appointment of Beverly Penny as an
independent non- executive director and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the
Company with immediate effect.

Beverly is an admitted attorney and registered master tax practitioner. She obtained her BA
Degree majoring in Law and Political Science at the University of Witwatersrand, B. Proc and
LLB Degrees at UNISA as well a Higher Diploma in Tax Law at the University of Johannesburg.

She brings wealth of legal and tax experience to the Board and Audit and Risk Committee.
