CHANGES TO THE BOARD
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 (a) and (b) of the Listings
Requirements of the JSE Limited (JSE),shareholders are
advised that,with effect from 1 November 2017,Dr David
Clarke has resigned as Non-Executive Director from the Board
and Mr Gert Gouws has been appointed by the Board as a Non-
Executive Director.
With Dr Clarke stepping down ArcelorMittal South Africa will
maintain the balance of independent non-executive directors in
compliance with the requirements of the King Reporton
corporate governance, which ArcelorMittal South Africa adopts
as good governance.
Mr Gouws (B.Com Law (UJ) (Cum Laude) majored in Private Law,
Economics and Accounting, B.Com Honours (Accounting) (UJ), has
been in the employ of the Industrial Development Corporation
(IDC) since 1983, and is presently the Divisional Executive:
Transaction Support & Post Investment, as well as an alternate
Member to the Chief Executive Officer at the IDC Board.
The Board thanks Dr Clarke for his valuable contribution to
the Board since his appointment in 2016 and congratulates Mr
Gouws on his appointment and look forward to his contribution.
