REVISED TRP121: NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES OF BENEFICIAL INTERESTS IN SECURITIES


Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement published on 18 August 2017 wherein shareholders
were advised that AOE had received notifications from, inter alia, Geomer Investments Proprietary Limited
(“Geomer Investments”) of its acquisition of AOE “N” ordinary shares and ordinary shares, such that
Geomer Investments now holds 34% of AOE’s issued “N” ordinary shares and 72% of AOE’s issued
ordinary shares.

In compliance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 (“the Companies Act”), Regulation
121(2)(b) of the Companies Act Regulations, 2011 and paragraph 3.83(b) of the Listings Requirements of
the JSE Limited shareholders are advised that revised notifications have been received by AOE in this
regard, indicating that the acquisition of AOE “N” ordinary shares and AOE ordinary shares was undertaken
by a consortium (the “Consortium”) consisting of the following parties acting in concert: Geomer
Investments, Gingko Investments No. 2 Proprietary Limited, the trustees for the time being of the Ceejay
Trust and Gingko Trading Proprietary Limited, such that the Consortium now holds and 89.4% of AOE’s
total issued “N” ordinary shares and 92% of AOE’s total issued ordinary shares.

The remainder of the disclosures set out in the SENS announcement published on 18 August 2017 remain
unchanged.

As required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Companies Act, AOE has filed the revised notifications with
the Takeover Regulation Panel.
